Amanda- my last question got cut off. I was saying that me, my mom, and 3YO DD will be doing "Princess Storytime" at Akershus while the guys golf. Any other "girly" things we could plan to do?

Hi Beth Ann! I love your idea of a girls-only meal with the Princesses at Akershus! Consider taking a trip to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique where your daughter (and you and your mom too, if you want!) can be transformed into a princess before dining at Akershus. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique has two locations: one at the World of Disney store in Downtown Disney and the other in Cinderella's Castle at the Magic Kingdom. You can make a reservation for either of them by calling 407-WDW-STYLE.

After dining at Akershus, it's always fun to stroll through the shops in the Epcot World Showcase. A particularly fun shop for girls is the Mitsukoshi store in the Japan pavilion. It's full of Hello Kitty merchandise and has a Pick a Pearl station. For a small fee, you can select an oyster from the water and the cast member opens it with lots of fanfare and shows you the size of the pearl you receive. Every oyster has a pearl (some even have two!) and the sizes vary. If you want, you can then have your pearl set in a ring, necklace, or earrings, which make a nice souvenir from your trip. Even if you don't pick a pearl yourself, it's a fun event to watch!

Hope you ladies have a good time while the guys are golfing! Come visit me again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions!
