Hi! Amanda, another ? We are driving in overnight and arriving on 9/22/11 and was wondering what is the earliest we can p/u tickets at POFQ? MK has EMH that day and want to make sure we'll have time to take advantage! Thanks for all your help!

Hi again Elizabeth! Isn't it great that Walt Disney World is just a day's (or in your case, a night's) drive away from North Carolina? When my family drives to Florida, we often leave the night before and stop at a hotel in southern Georgia or northern Florida so we only have a few hours to drive to Disney the next morning. When we do that, we arrive very early, which gives us a whole day to enjoy the parks or Downtown Disney. Even though the official check-in time at the Disney resorts is not until 3 p.m., you can check in prior to that time. We've arrived as early as 8 a.m. and been able to check in to our Disney resort, and on a couple of occasions, we were even surprised to find that our room was ready, although that's not usually the case.

Since the Magic Kingdom's Extra Magic Hours begin at 8 a.m. on the morning you're arriving, I expect you'll want to arrive at the Port Orleans French Quarter around 7 a.m. so you can pick up your park tickets and head to the park. You should be able to check in and pick up your tickets at that time. (I've found it's helpful to call the resort directly from my cell phone that morning and tell them we're on the way for an early check-in.)

Have a magical vacation! Come visit me again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! I'm happy to help!
