Hi Amanda, Coming early Dec w/ just son this time (mother-daughter trip was fantastic!). Made res. for Narcoossee's on our last night. Son will be 7, will it be too formal, take too long? Thought it would be a nice "date", but having 2nd thoug

Amy!!!! So glad to hear from you again! I thought of you this spring and wondered how your mother-daughter trip was -- I'm so happy to hear you had a good time! How exciting that you're planning a mother-son trip now!

My children were quite young the last time I dined at Narcoossee's. The atmosphere there is not stuffy or formal, and as at most Disney restaurants, I found it to be child-friendly even though it is upscale. Service can be quite leisurely at the Signature restaurants, but from what I recall, our meal at Narcoossee's proceeded at a quicker pace than meals at Jiko and the California Grill, which took over two hours. While your son likely won't find Narcoossee's as entertaining as a character meal or a show, if he likes dining in nice restaurants, he'll enjoy it. The make-your-own s'mores dessert at Narcoossee's was a big hit with my kids! Narcoossee's has a nice location on the water, and if your son gets restless, you can stroll outside on the deck for a few minutes to watch the boats or the nightly fireworks.

Come visit me again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions Amy! I'm always happy to help!
