Hi Amanda! Booked March 2011 at GF and now am having 2nd thoughts about the other deluxe resorts. We hav 2 DD's 8 and 4 and want to be close to MK what do you think? We are just getting the basic room either way. Thanks so much!!!!

Hi Lyndi! All of the deluxe resorts at Walt Disney World are so unique and wonderful, it is hard to choose one, but you should definitely not be doubting your choice of the Grand Floridian! You cannot go wrong with this flagship resort -- it is the most luxurious one of all, with big, bright rooms, beautiful theming and a prime location right next to the Magic Kingdom. I've stayed there several times, and it's the resort I've chosen for my next trip. Like you, I generally just book the "basic" garden view room, although I have been lucky enough to experience lagoon and Magic Kingdom views too. No matter where your room is, you and your daughters will love being able to zip in and out of the Magic Kingdom on the monorail and viewing the nightly fireworks and Electric Water Pageant from the beach. The Grand Floridian has several great restaurants, and you'll be within minutes of more fantastic dining at the Polynesian, Contemporary, Wilderness Lodge, and the Magic Kingdom. The pool there has a fun slide for your girls, and walking through the lobby in the evening while the band is playing is magical! Trust me, once you stay at the Grand Floridian, you'll find you want to stay there on every trip to Disney!

Hope this helps Lyndi! Come visit me again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions!
