HI Amanda A.I think we have the same taste in resorts and I desperately need your help. Travelling w DS4 and DD2.5. Really wanted mono resort but Poly and Contemp don't appeal to me and DD too young to enjoy tea etc at GF.Is BCR much less convenient?

Hi Julie! Thanks so much for visiting me at the Moms Panel! I'm always happy to discuss resorts with a fellow lover of luxury! The Grand Floridian Resort is convenient to the Magic Kingdom and certainly has more activities for little ones than the afternoon tea so don't let that dissuade you from staying there. The pool has a great water play area for young kids along with fun organized activities for children throughout the afternoon, and if you're planning on spending a lot of time in the Magic Kingdom, it's really convenient to roll your stroller on and off the monorail and be at the park in mere minutes.

I split my last stay between the Grand Floridian and the Beach Club resorts because they both rank at the top of my list of favorites, but lately I have been partial to the Beach Club. While it's not as close to the Magic Kingdom as the Grand Floridian, the bus ride to the park isn't bad, and it's super convenient to walk to Epcot or take the boat to Hollywood Studios. It has the same bright, cheery, luxurious feel as the Grand Floridian, but at a lower price tag, which I really appreciate. The Stormalong Bay pool is huge and offers a sandy beach area, a lazy river, a kiddie slide and a massive waterslide, and there are lots of fun kid activities throughout the afternoon.

Since my husband and I love the restaurants in Epcot and my kids' favorite park is Hollywood Studios, the Beach Club resort is more convenient than the Grand Floridian for us. If, however, you're going to be spending most of your park time at the Magic Kingdom, you would find the Grand Floridian more convenient because of the monorail. The bus ride to the Magic Kingdom from the Beach Club is fairly short, but you'll have to fold up your stroller. If that doesn't bother you, don't hesitate to stay at the Beach Club -- you'd love it!

Come visit me again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! I'd love to help!
