I’ve always wanted to visit Disneyland during the Holidays, but it seems like there’s a lot to do. How many days would you recommend?

Seasons greetings, Winnifred! I'm so happy you stopped by and wanted to know about my favorite time of year at the Disneyland Resort!

There is so much merry magic to enjoy during the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort! From visiting Santa Claus at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail to seeing "A Christmas Fantasy" parade in Disneyland Park, there is so much entertainment included with a standard theme park ticket. And now through December 27, 2024, Disney+ Subscribers can enjoy three visits to a Disneyland Resort theme park for the price of two with the purchase of a special 3-day, 1-park per-day ticket. This means an extra day to enjoy the Festival of Holidays, including Mirabel's Gifts of the Season - new this year!

Winnifred, I would recommend three days to experience seasonal offerings at the theme parks and the Disneyland Resort Hotels. Take a day each at the two theme parks and then use the third day to revisit anything you loved or missed the first time through. I also highly recommend using part of a day to try one of the Holiday Dining Experiences at the Disneyland Resort Hotels. My mom and I just went to the Holiday Tea with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Hearthstone Lounge at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, and it was the most special and heart-warming experience. A perfect way to celebrate the season!

While there is so much to do and see this time of year, here are my cannot-miss experiences at each of the theme parks:

    Disneyland Park

    • Seasonal ride overlays at Haunted Mansion Holiday and "it's a small world" Holiday
    • Holiday Fun with Santa & Friends! (Fantasyland Theatre). I spotted Chip and Dale in their seasonal finest last week!
    • "A Christmas Fantasy" parade. This is one of my family's favorite entertainment options. Grab a Mickey Gingerbread and wave to Santa and his friends!

    Disney California Adventure Park

Winnifred, I am so excited about your holiday visit! If you have any other questions, please stop back by. I'd be happy to help you plan more for a most merry visit!

    Warmest wishes,
    Melissa
