I've always used the Park Hopper, but next year plan on taking son, daughter-in-law and 3 young children. They are not early risers and will probably wear out quickly. Could we get by without the park hopper? Money may be an issue!

How exciting that you will be visiting the "Happiest Place on Earth" with your son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren next year!  What magical memories your family will create together!  Although my family always purchases the Magic Your Way Park Hopper Ticket, there are vacation days that we don't actually "park hop."  If you find money to be an issue, then I definitely think you can experience Disney without having the Park Hopper Option. We typically park hop on short vacations when we do not have the time to devote an entire day to one park. I also feel like it can be more tiring to park hop with "little ones."  One other tip I have learned from traveling with young children. We find park touring works best with "little ones" by arriving at the parks at opening and then going back to the Resort for a midday nap/break. We then return to the park we were in first thing that morning or "hop" to a different park refreshed and ready to enjoy the evening activities. You can definitely spend an entire day in Magic Kingdom. I would recommend deciding which parks you plan to visit first and then you will know if you want to devote a full day to that particular theme park or if you only anticipate spending a few hours. Hopefully, that will help you decide if adding the Park Hopper Option is best for you.  I hope this information helps!  Please feel free to write me back with any additional questions you may have. Best wishes for a Magical 2013 Trip, Janet!
    Happy Planning,
