Hi there, Jolene, and welcome to planDisney! Thanks for popping by with your question.
It's always so exciting to visit Walt Disney World with
small kids! I've been visiting with my Mouseketeers since they were tiny little things, and there's something so special about seeing the magic through their eyes. From
meeting Mickey and Minnie to
fabulous royal makeovers, Disney World is full of memorable and magical experiences that will live on in your hearts forever!
Jolene, I know that planning a visit to Disney World can involve a fair amount of budgeting. So you're smart to start looking at your
Theme Park Admission options well in advance of your visit! While children 2 and under are free as "guests of Mickey," children aged 3 to 9 will require a child's ticket in order to enter the theme parks. This longstanding policy has been in effect for
at least as long as I can remember (and as an 80's baby, let's just say that's saying something!). In fact, my pals
Kurt W. and
Elizabeth L. have been doing Disney even longer than I have, and they can't remember a time when this wasn't the policy, either!
If you're looking to save some cash on your next visit to Disney World, I highly recommend keeping a watchful eye on the
Special Offers page. This is where you'll find deals and discounts on theme park tickets,
Disney Resorts Collection hotel stays, and even the
Disney Dining Plan! As you may already know, dates for 2027 have not been released yet. But when they do become available (likely sometime this May or June), be sure to check for discounts before you book your visit!
I hope this information is helpful, Jolene, and that your family's visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth is nothing short of a fairytale. If you have any other planning questions, you know
where to find me right here at planDisney!
Magic awaits,
Allison
