Although helmets and masks can’t be worn within Disney parks for Star Wars nights. Can they at least be brought inside and held under our arms and worn for photo opportunities? Just as long as the helmet is taken off right afterwards?

Hello there, Heath, and May The Force Be With You!

Welcome to planDisney and we're so happy to see you here with your question. Congratulations on scoring tickets to Disneyland After Dark: Star Wars Nite! It's one of the most popular After Hours parties and tickets sell out consistently every year. I'm excited that you get to be there!

It sounds like you're already familiar with the Dress Code for Special Events. Guests aged 14 and older may not wear masks although headgear is allowed as long as it does not cover the face. Ultimately, it will be up to the discretion of the Security Cast Member on duty what will be allowed through the checkpoint. My personal recommendation would be to leave any sort of mask or helmet that covers your face in your hotel room. I wouldn't want you to reach the security checkpoint only to be turned away and have to return to your room to drop it off. I myself had an experience where my friends and I were attending Oogie Boogie Bash and attempted to bring Venetian style masks on a stick, thinking that they might be allowed. Unfortunately, they were not and we had to discard them before entering.

You'll also enjoy Season of the Force throughout Disneyland Park, which will have Hyperspace Mountain returning. This is one of my favorite attraction overlays! Plus, they've announced additional scenes to Star Tours - The Adventures Continue! I love how immersed you can become into the Star Wars Universe here and I'm really excited for you.

Heath, I hope that this was helpful for you and I wish you an incredible time when you visit the Disneyland Resort! Please feel free to come on by again if you have any more questions. You're always welcome at planDisney!

Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
