Angela from Westmeath Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

If I alter my reservation from Caribbean Beach to Pop Century do I lose the Early booking offer that I have?

Hey Howdy Hey Angela and welcome to planDisney!

Thank you so much for stopping by with your question about modifying your resort stay. I will be happy to provide you with more information about modifications.

I am so glad to hear that you were able to take advantage of an early booking offer for your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World Resort. When Disney has offers such as these, they specifically have a certain number of rooms at certain resorts that may apply for this offer. The first thing you would do is to see if Disney specified if certain resorts were excluded from the special offer. As long as Disney's Pop Century Resort qualifies for the special offer, the next step can be accomplished in one of two ways.

The first way you can check to see if you can modify your resort is in your My Disney Experience account. Once you log on, scroll to the "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" section. You should see your resort reservation and to the right, you should see a hyperlink to "Modify Reservation". If you click on that link, you will be able to change your resort. Not to worry because nothing official will change unless you specifically confirm all changes to your reservation. You should have the ability to modify your resort and select Disney's Pop Century Resort. Just above the offerings of room selections, you should see options for special offers available during your stay which you can click on and then you will be given any rooms that may still be open that qualify for that special offer. After you select your room and before you confirm your changes, you will be brought to a screen giving you an update on your reservation with the price changes and any special offer you qualify for. As long as you see this and everything looks great, you can confirm the changes and your reservation will be updated.

The other way to see if there is availability and to get your resort modified would be with a phone call to the Cast Members at the Walt Disney Travel Company. You also might see a phone number in your My Disney Experience account instead of the "Modify Reservation" option as noted above. Either way, give the Cast Members a ring and they will be more than happy to check to see if they can modify your reservation and get you the best price on your holiday!

I hope you can switch your resort and get back to the fun of planning your trip to Walt Disney World Resort. There is so much happening in 2024 and I am so excited you will have the opportunity to share in the excitement. Much of this will be happening in EPCOT with the newly opened self-guided walking tour Journey of Water Inspired by Moana as well as experience the new nighttime show Luminous The Symphony of Us.

Best of luck as you continue to plan for your exciting holiday later this year. Please feel free to stop by again if you have any further questions, we are always happy to help!

    Have a Magical day,

    Nick
