Hi Kassandra,
Welcome to planDisney, and greetings from another former Hoosier! Ohmygoodness...a stay at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and a visit to the Disneyland Resort theme parks sounds absolutely AMAZING! You're going to make memories to cherish for years to come!
I'm glad to hear your theme park tickets are already purchased. Have you made your
park reservations, too? During the process of buying your tickets and making your reservations, there will be several checks along the way to make sure you're a California resident and allowed to visit at this point in the
reopening. First, the system will be able to see that the mailing address in your
Disney account is a California address. Next, when you make your park reservations, you'll need to confirm that all of the Mouseketeers in your party are residents of California. Finally, when you arrive at "The Happiest Place on Earth," it's possible that you'll be asked to show proof of residency. So, yes, I'd recommend bringing an official piece of mail like a utility bill or bank statement that shows your name and California address since you don't yet have a new California state ID.
Did you see the
Disney Parks Blog article capturing the joy and wonder of Guests (and Cast Members!) returning to the magic on the day Disneyland Resort reopened? Whether this is your first Disneyland Resort visit or your hundredth, I hope you're overcome with childlike joy and your visit is incredible!
Thanks for visiting us at planDisney, Kassandra, and please feel free to swing by any time you have a Disney-planning question or need some advice!
