Hiya Regis! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for sending us your question. I can't think of a more spectacular place to spend New Years Eve than Magic Kingdom! Let's discuss your strategy so you don't miss any of the magic.
It's
incredible that you've got your theme park reservation for December 31, at your first choice of Disney Park. There are no longer any
reservations available on that date for Magic Kingdom. So congratulations on planning ahead and scoring that in-demand reservation!
Luck favors the prepared... so I'm very glad you've checked in to confirm your plans, Regis. You're going to want to arrive early at Magic Kingdom that day to assure your spot! Having a
theme park reservation along with your annual pass is required, but this does not serve as a guarantee of entry. Guest entrance will still be subject to capacity limitations. Once a park reaches its full capacity, they stop allowing additional guests to enter at that time. As I'm sure you can imagine, December 31 is a very popular day to visit Magic Kingdom and it's quite common that it reaches full capacity. So please plan accordingly, and get there early in the day! I would not recommend waiting to arrive in the afternoon or evening.
One last tip before I go. Make sure you have the
My Disney Experience app installed and ready to go before your visit. In additional to providing helpful information like attraction wait times, it also assists in finding tasty food and snack options when you're hungry. And placing a
mobile food order can help save time standing in line, so you can
dash off to your next adventure!
I just know you're going to have a
super time at Walt Disney World! I hope you enjoy every magical moment. Please feel free to visit us any time at planDisney.
And remember...
no capes!
