Welcome to planDisney, Kenyetta!
I was in the exact same situation just a few months ago. I had planned out our entire vacation and we were days away from leaving when I heard that we were going to have an additional family member joining us! Obviously I was thrilled, but I will say that I was momentarily stressed trying to readjust our plans. I am happy to walk you through the steps to get your grandmother added.
Now, if you booked a
Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package, simply log into your
My Disney Experience Account and go to "My Plans." Here you should see a button next to your reservation that says "Change Reservation." Once you click this button, you will be able to add an additional member to your party and pay the difference in cost.
If you booked your Walt Disney World Resort hotel room and theme park tickets separately you will want to either call (407) 939-5277 or go back into your My Disney Experience Account and add your grandmother to your reservation.
Now, you will need to purchase your grandmother's tickets through the
Walt Disney World Resort website and
link them in your My Disney Experience Account.
Once your grandmother's tickets are purchased, either through your vacation package or separately, you will need to make her
Disney Park Pass system reservations. Since reservations are limited, I recommend that you do this as soon as possible!
If any of your theme park dates are currently sold out, do not give up hope! Keep checking. I was able to get the extra member of our party a Disney Park Pass system reservation the night before, although obviously this is not guaranteed.
Once her theme park reservations are secured, do not forget to add her to your dining reservations. You can easily click "Modify" under each separate reservations to change the number in your party.
I hope that this gave you a bit of insight, Kenyetta!
Please come back here if we can help you figure out where to play, stay, or dine at Walt Disney World Resort.
See you real soon!
