Hi Eric,
The
Grand Floridian is a beautiful Victorian styled resort. While it is pretty, I know children, both boys and girls, who love staying at this resort. While I have visited the resort, I have not stayed at it but will be soon. If you are planning on touring mainly the Magic Kingdom, the monorail is a big plus, and it allows you to quickly head back for a nap or rest.
As for the Animal Kingdom Lodge and the BoardWalk, I have stayed at both. The
BoardWalk is my favorite resort as I have stayed there often especially when my children were still in strollers. It is so easy to push them in the stroller onto and off of the boats to get to and from Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios. You can even stroll home from these resorts. The BoardWalk has fun nightly entertainment but the pool is tucked away so that you would never know there was a whole pool party happening back there.
The
Animal Kingdom Lodge is just unique. We had a savannah view and to wake up with the animals outside of your balcony was a lot of fun! The pool is one of my favorites as it looks like a river even down to the clean but brown water. You can even go on a night safari to look at the animals. This property is further away from Magic Kingdom and you will always be on the bus to get to all of the theme parks. I mention this because the buses can be crowded and juggling a little one and stroller can be tricky at times.
I hope these tips help and may you have extra pixie dust on your vacation!
Beth
