Hey, there Amee, and welcome to planDisney. The top three activities we look forward to at Walt Disney World Resort are relaxation, attractions, and Disney dining. Having a son with food sensitivities has led us to ask many questions of chefs and Cast Members over the years. We have navigated the dining process many times. Here is my recommendation.
If you have specific questions about dishes at a certain dining location then I recommend you contact
Special Diets at Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com. When you write Disney Dining tell them about your allergies and the severe reaction you have to corn. If you need more information you may ask to schedule a time to speak with someone directly. This has been offered in the past but may have changed as of this writing. They will be able to recommend a course of action for you to stay safe.
Once you arrive at the restaurant, ask specifically to speak with the chef after you are seated. You will be asked if you have any allergies. The chef will provide options for you to enjoy your dining experience.
Regarding outside food I have excellent news. All Guests are welcome to
bring outside food and beverages inside the theme parks as long as they follow the
Theme Park Rules which include no glass containers and alcoholic beverages among others.
I hope this clears up any confusion and variety of answers you have seen.
planDisney Pro Tip: Carrying your food around all day can be exhausting. Consider the
rental lockers as a place to store your goods until you are ready to eat them.
Amee, I know Disney will do everything they can to help you feel safe and enjoy a full belly during your visit this month. Please
let me know if you have any follow-up questions.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
