Hi Barbara,
Thanks for joining us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I'm so glad you stopped by.
If you're thinking about upgrading your 6-day Park Hopper ticket to an
Annual Pass, I suggest doing it as soon as you arrive, not on the last day of your trip. Regardless of when you upgrade, the first day of your Annual Pass will be the first day of use of your 6-day ticket, however it will not include
Memory Maker until you upgrade (it is not applied retroactively). I wouldn't purchase it separately for your trip since it's already included in your Annual Pass.
If you wait until the end of your trip, you'd also miss out on many
additional benefits that Annual Passholders are entitled to with their passes. Barbara, you can get up to 20% off of dining at most Walt Disney World Resort table service restaurant locations (just ask for the Annual Passholder discount), up to 20% off of select merchandise throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, free standard theme park parking, plus discounts on tours, water park admission, miniature golf and more! You can always ask a Cast Member if they offer an Annual Passholder discount at any Walt Disney World retail, tour, event, or dining location. Be ready to present your Annual Passholder card and your photo ID to qualify for the discount.
Barbara, I hope you get a year's worth of enjoyment-and savings-as a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder. Please come back and see us with any additional questions.
Best Wishes,
Amy S.
