I’ve already paid off my package, which consists of hotel and tickets, made through the Disney Travel Company. We are less than 30 days away from our vacation now. Is it too late to add the DDP?

Bon Appetit, Melissa! I hope your appetite for food, fun, and most of all magic is gearing up for your upcoming visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth! How exciting that you'll be there in less than 30 days! Be sure to read all about the summer celebrations that are happening; I can't wait to see the new drone show, Disney Dreams That Soar, at Disney Springs and splash down Tiana's Bayou Adventure with her band of cajun critters on this new attraction!

Melissa, the Disney dining plans are a great way to bundle your mealtime magic with your hotel reservation and theme park tickets, and the great news is that as long as your reservation was booked as a vacation package, you can add a Disney dining plan to your reservation at any point up to 48 hours before your check-in day! To do this, log into your My Disney Experience account and select "My Plans" and find the "Change Reservation" button where you can modify your existing reservation to add a dining plan option. If for some reason the option is not there, you can call and speak with a Cast Member for assistance. I would recommend having your reservation details and confirmation number nearby to help easily access your vacation package details.

As a reminder, before you call, take a look at both of the dining plan options to decide which one will work best for your family's appetites, budget, and vacation style! On-the-go families tend to prefer the Disney Quick Service Dining Plan which gives each member of your party two quick-service meals per night of your stay, while families who like to slow down and enjoy character meals or dinner shows might like the Disney Dining Plan which gives each member of your party one table service and one quick-service meal per night of your stay. Each of these options includes one snack per night of your stay and a resort-refillable mug to keep the refills coming with soda, water, coffee, and even hot chocolate at any Disney Resort hotel during your visit. Whichever you choose, you can keep track of all your meals and snacks on the My Disney Experience mobile app and take advantage of Mobile Ordering to save some time standing in line!

I hope this helps, Melissa, and I hope you find the perfect dining plan for your upcoming stay! If you haven't already, be sure to make any advance dining reservations before you check in to ensure you get a table at all of the restaurants you want to experience! If you have any other questions, or want to talk more about meals and snacks, come on back and let me know! I'd be happy to dig a little deeper into the magic of mealtime with you!
