Hello Elyse!
Welcome back to planDisney! How exciting to have your vacation package paid off!
Elyse, a vacation package for 2022 would typically include your stay at a
Disney Resort Collection Hotel and your
theme park tickets. All taxes would be included in the package price already paid. But Elyse, you mention a deposit. This does confuse me just a bit. Guests who book a
room-only reservation are typically asked to pay a deposit equivalent to one night’s stay at that resort. The full amount of the remaining nights is then charged on check-in day. Guests who book a
ticket and room package are asked to pay in full before arrival. So if you’ve booked a room-only reservations and purchased tickets separately, you’ll need to pay the balance of the room price when you check in. If you purchased a room and ticket package and have paid it off, then you will not see additional room charges upon arrival.
Another charge some Guests run into is a credit card hold if you will be planing on making charges to your room with either a MagicBand or Key to the World Card. Typically, the resort will place a $100 hold with your credit card to be sure you have available credit before they allow you to charge to the room. Usually this falls off in a few days as it isn't an actual charge. As long as you have adequate room on your credit card, it should not pose any difficulties.
What additional costs should you plan for? If you plan to park a vehicle at your Disney Resort Collection Hotel, there is a
standard overnight parking fee per vehicle. This is not charged in advance as not everyone has a vehicle. Additionally, I typically bring cash for tipping Bell Services if I ask them to take my luggage to my room. Then you’ll need to budget for your meals, souvenirs, and any special extras you might want to add to your trip. How about a dessert party or fireworks cruise to make your visit extra magical? Check out the
Enchanting Extras page for ways to enhance your trip or surprise your family with something new!
I hope this helps with your question, Elyse! Know we are here and ready to help if you have any additional questions before your visit.
Happy Planning!
