    Hello! We have already made our WDW resort reservations for 2019. I know you can use Disney Gift Cards to pay the balance of the reservation upon check-in. Are you able to use Visa Gift Cards to pay the balance of the reservations upon check-in?

    I love that you are already planning ahead to 2019! This just means that you'll have all sorts of time to plan for and dream about your upcoming vacation! To me, that's a huge part of the fun! 

    I just tried using a Visa gift card last week while I was at the Walt Disney World Resort to cover part of my balance and had trouble. Because the Visa gift card functions as a debit card with a PIN number (which we had), the Cast Member helping us was unable to get the card to process. He told us they are able to process normal debit cards by running them as credit cards, but he was not able to process our Visa gift card. We were in a hurry to make our next reservation, and the card was not our primary payment method, so we didn't try super hard to get it to work. If you are hoping to be able to use Visa gift cards, I would encourage you to first call the number associated with the card and ask one of their customer service representatives if there is a way to process the card without using the PIN number. You may also call the Walt Disney World Resort directly to see if they are able to take the card over the phone or if they have any suggestions for helping you.
