I have already made our dinner reservations for upcoming Dinsey vacation in September. It is our first trip to Disney w/our 5 yr old son. One of the dinner reservations was made for the Spirit of Aloha dinner show. Is this a good choice for my son?

Hi, Susan!  The Spirit of Aloha dinner show is hit or miss, depending on the child.  My girls have all really loved the show, and I am taking my four year old when we visit in December for the first time.  The first part of the show drags a little bit, but my girls all really enjoy the Polynesian dancers and the music.  They especially love the guy that does the fire dances - he is truly amazing.

The food is pretty good - nothing that stands out as spectacular, except the pineapple bread - but we've all enjoyed the meal that is served.

If you are second guessing yourself, you might want to look into the Hoop-Dee-Do Musical Revue.  This is more slapstick funny, with a down home style meal.  I have taken my girls and my nephews to this show, and it's been wildly popular with all of them.

Have a great time, whatever you end up doing!
