If I already have dining reservations for Disney but purchase a dining plan later on, do I keep the existing reservations or do I need specific dining plan reservations?

    Michael,

The great news is that the answer to your question is NO, you do not need to remake any of your reservations if you elect to get the Disney Dining Plan!

A dining reservation is a dining reservation. It does not care if you are paying with cash or a credit card while you are there, or if you are charging it back to your resort account, or if you are settling up with Disney Dining Plan credits. The Disney Dining Plan is simply a payment option that you can elect to use.

So when you decide to get a Disney Dining Plan, your existing reservations will be just fine. Remember to have the My Disney Experience App on your smartphone for when you are in the park for mobile ordering, and use your My Disney Experience account to keep track of your Disney Dining Plan credits!

What you need to do now is to go to our site and send me some questions about dining suggestions for your trip! Any Disney enthusiast will tell you that the most fun part of Walt Disney World vacation planning is figuring out where you are going to eat!

Have a Magical (and delicious) Vacation!
