Aloha, Holly! Welcome back to planDisney! Mahalo for stopping by with another great vacation planning question. I just love chatting about magical vacations with my pals, pal!
Eek! Before you know it, you'll be arriving at
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, stepping into the gorgeous, grand lobby, feeling the warm, tropical breeze, hearing ukulele music and waves lapping the shoreline, and tasting that first sip of a mai tai out of a pineapple. Ahhhh, paradise. I am currently planning my first visit to Aulani with three kiddos in tow, so, I have been researching the same question and am thrilled to share the advice I've been given!
To get you the best answer, I asked one of my Aulani expert planDisney pals,
Doug, for advice on the topic. He let me know that he and his wife had lunch at
'AMA'AMA - Contemporary Island Cooking in the past when lunch was still available there, and while it is an upscale experience, kids would certainly be welcome there, if you choose to take the kiddos with you. However, since the new experience will be an upscale dinner-only experience, this may be your opportunity to enjoy a quiet, elegant, beachfront dining experience in paradise.
Since
Aunty's Beach House is available for childcare only from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., I spoke with a helpful Cast Member at Aulani for advice. She told me that while
in-room babysitting is not available at this time, she recommends doing an internet search for nanny services on O'ahu. She recommended Night Owl Nanny Care, Happy Kids O'ahu and Island Kid Sitters, if you would like to get an oh-so-fun babysitter for the evening.
I hope this was helpful, Holly! Whether you choose to escape to a romantic date night or keep the family together for dinner, I hope you all have the most magical time. Please stop by any time with any planning questions you may have along the way.
A Hui Hou (Until we meet again),
Mandy
