Hello again, Alyse! Welcome back to planDisney! We really appreciate you you stop back by for the second part of your previous Walt Disney World Resort vacation question!
It is true that
“The World’s Most Magical Celebration” is finally upon us! Beginning October 1st, a celebration like no other will begin to ring in the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort! Recently,
Disney Parks Blog began discussing some of the details of this event such as “EARidescence” theme as well as the transformation of each theme parks icons into Beacons of Magic. Needless to say, Guests are not going to want to miss this 18-month-long event!
As I mentioned in my previous response, Guests will not need to make theme park reservations through the
Disney Park Pass system prior to their visit to the parks. This can be done once you have purchased your theme park tickets and added them to your
My Disney Experience account. A wonderful tool you can use prior to purchasing tickets is the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar that connects directly to the Disney Park Pass system. Here, you will be able to see which theme parks have availability and plan your selections with this information in mind.
At this time, it looks like the only day during “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” with limited availability is October 1st, 2021. Of course, this will likely change as we get closer to the beginning of the event but it is unlikely that every day will have a similar struggle. Using this summer as a reference, theme park reservations seem to be quite easy to get as long as you make your reservations a few months in advance. While it is likely that more Guests will specifically be visiting for Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th Anniversary next year, you should be able to make your selections with few problems with a bit of pre-planning! Just be sure not to wait until the last minute, particularly if you intend on visiting during a holiday, and use the Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar as your guide!
Best of luck as you continue to plan for your 2022 vacation to Walt Disney World Resort! Again, please reach back out if we can assist with planning any other part of your stay!
