Almost ready to make dining reservations (180 days ahead), what time can I begin reserving online? 6 am or 7 am? I will be there during the princess half marathon. Will this make for a much busier visit and should I avoid certain parks on certain days?

    Hi Rebecca Ann!

How exciting! The morning when you select Advance Dining Reservations is always so full of anticipation. This important step helps to create a framework for the rest of your planning.

You may begin scheduling your Advance Dining Reservations online at 6 A.M Mickey time or by phone when the clock on Cinderella Castle strikes 7 A.M. If you have your heart set on particular popular restaurants or if you have a large group, be sure to have a plan to reserve those first! For example, if you would like to join Beast for an enchanted dinner at Be Our Guest Restaurant, I recommend reserving this first.

There is certainly extra excitement in the air during a runDisney event weekend, but not necessarily heavier crowds in the theme parks. In fact, quite the opposite is true after the sun goes down. Most athletes choose an early bedtime to prepare for a very early morning testing their limits out on the most magical course. I do encourage you to use Walt Disney World Resort transportation exclusively during these weekends because bus drivers will be cognizant of all road closures and heavy traffic areas and often have an alternate route unavailable to Guests driving personal vehicles.

Other than that, my best suggestion is to grab your favorite noise maker and head out to chEAR on the athletes as their push their boundaries. It is very inspiring! You might just find yourself lacing up to run through Cinderella Castle with thousands of other Princesses next year!

    Wishing you many magical memories,

    Sally
