Which All-Star Resort do you recommend for DS7, DS4, and DD1. POP, our 1st choice isn't availabe, so now we need to do another value, HELP!!!!!

    Tanya,

I have stayed at All-Star Sports (ASSp) and All-Star Movies (ASMo), and have toured All-Star Music (ASMu).  The main differences across these three resorts is the icon themeing (and the ASMu family suites). So, I'd say the main driver of your decision should be the themes that your kids would like the most.  If your kids love sports, go for ASSp (or perhaps the "Mighty Ducks" area of ASMo), if they love music, then choose ASMu, and if they love Disney movies, then ASMo is the way to go.

My personal favorite is ASMo -- mostly because I love the amazing Disney movie icons throughout the resort, as well as the great looking Fantasia pool with Mickey throwing waters across the pool. My favorite buildings there are in the "Toy Story" area. I think the icons in that area take it up a notch. I especially like the doorway to Andy's room. As you walk through it, it makes you feel like a kid again.

Just for fun, there's one minor twist I'll add to your quandary... Although this might make you lean more toward ASMu, I should mention something I recently discovered at ASMu.  It turns out that ASMu is the only value resort that is piloting scheduled activities at its main pool (this has been going on since June 2007).  The current ASMu activity calendar (which changes slightly each month) has about six things scheduled throughout the day (starting at 2:00 pm) including activities like:
    - All-Star Guitar Hero
    - Movie Night (relax in the Calypso pool's water while watching a movie)
    - Disney trivia contest
    - Afternoon dance party

So, if your older kids would be interested in participating in similar activities, then ASMu might actually be your best bet.

Hope I provided enough info and advice to help you make the best choice for your family.  If all else fails, you can always try flipping a coin. ;-)
