Welcome to
planDisney, Hugh!
I'm so glad you stopped by with your question. Walt Disney World Resort has some
rules about what Guests can wear, and whilst fun outfits and makeup are usually okay, there are a few things to keep in mind:
No Costumes for Adults – If you’re 14 or older, you can’t wear a full costume (unless it’s for a special event like
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party). Corpse paint isn’t technically a costume, but if it makes you look like a character, it might not fly.
Face Paint Rules – Disney doesn’t allow full-face paint, so if your makeup completely covers your face, a Cast Member might ask you to remove it.
It’s Up to Disney – At the end of the day, it’s up to the Cast Members at the entrance. A subtle, toned-down version of corpse paint might be fine, but a full-on black-and-white face could be a no-go.
If you want to rock a spooky look, you might want to dial it back a little—unless you’re going to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, where the rules are more relaxed! I always say it’s better to play it safe. The last thing you want is to show up all ready for a magical day, only to be told you have to change your look before you can enter.
If you have any more questions, please ask away! We love helping fellow Guests plan their next adventure to
Walt Disney World. See ya real soon!
Mike
