Dear Lenee,
Thank you so much for visiting us again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your great planning question for your upcoming trip to the Walt Disney World Resort!
I totally understand the need to sit down after a long day of walking around the Walt Disney World Resort! Unfortunately, folding chairs or stools of any kind are
prohibited in the theme parks, so you would not be able to bring that in. You are also not allowed to sit on many surfaces inside of the hub, so that might be a bit challenging for you.
I recommend the outdoor area at
Casey's Corner, where you can relax with a hot dog and enjoy the show. I also recommend the outdoor seating area in front of the
Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, where you can pick up a sweet treat and enjoy the views. These views are not totally unobstructed, of course. If you are truly interested in an unobstructed view of the castle, I recommend heading towards the castle at least an hour before the start of
Happily Ever After. If you arrive quite early. you may be able to find a closer space that doesn't make you feel that you are being pressed in on, as you mention.
The other options I might recommend are the view from the Walt Disney World Railroad station at the entrance to Main Street U.S.A.! Upstairs will give you terrific views, and they are unobstructed if you arrive early. Even further back would be the gorgeous views from the beach at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort!
Hope that helps with your magical planning!
