Hi Emily,
While all bags will be
searched by security when you first arrive at the theme parks, I'm happy to let you know that you'll be able to bring small bags with you on all of the attractions! I can tell you that it makes this mama of five happy as we always have at least
something with us! For most of the rides, you'll likely be able to just leave the bag around your waist, but for the ones that have a lap bar or over the shoulder harness that would make that uncomfortable, you'll be able to either keep your bag in a small storage area or just down at your feet. I'm funny about things at my feet and worry that they might fly out, so I like to wrap a handle, strap, or something from the bag around my feet to keep it in place. Also, know that if you get tired of carrying your bag or end up buying more goodies than you want to carry around, there are
lockers available to rent at all of the theme parks!
Just a couple of weeks ago, I placed several things in the storage bag on Big Thunder Mountain, enjoyed experiencing the wildest ride in the wilderness, and grabbed everything as we were leaving...except my sunglasses. Oops! Thankfully we realized it as soon as we got out in the sun again, and the super helpful Cast Members were able to find them for me. So, my Disney Parks Moms Panel tip for you is to make sure that you don't forget to check for anything that you may have brought on the attraction with you before you head to your next fun adventure!
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Emily, and have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
