Are we allowed to go barefoot aboard the Disney Dream? How about a barefoot pirate?

    Ahoy Monty!

Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  Shiver me timbers!  In just under a fortnight you will be embarking on your high seas adventure with Captain Mickey!  Ye be in for a swashbuckling good time while sailing on the Disney Dream.  Let's check your packing list to make sure you have all of the laced up treasure you will need to bring onboard.

I reviewed the guest cruise contract and it does not specifically address a requirement to wear ye best pirate boots.  In my experience, I have seen many pirates-in-training walk throughout the ship barefoot if going between the pool and their stateroom without issue.  As Disney Cruise Line enforces a cruise casual dress code in the dining rooms onboard the ship, you would need to find your footwear to eat in the rotational dining rooms or Cabanas.

When shaking your booty on the pool deck during Pirate Night, you can kick off your pirate boots and dance along with Jack Sparrow and his pirate crew!  Watch out for mermaids though, they are all fins when dancing and you don't want to end up in the infirmary.  Just be sure if the Captain or a member of his crew ask you to find your boots again for safety reasons, to return those feet to Davy Jones' locker as asked.

Kick off your boots and enjoy your cruise!  "Sea" ya real soon!  Angie
