Is it allowed to drive up to the Disney resorts / visit the lobby etc even if one is not a guest at a Disney resort?

It’s a bibbidi bobbidi beautiful day today at planDisney, Cindy!

Welcome, and thanks for stopping by with your question for us.

Exploring Disney Resort hotels is my favorite thing to do. Each Disney Resort hotel offers such unique theming, delicious dining, and fantastic shopping that I can’t help but want to visit every one of them to take in all the magical details!

Cindy, I’m happy to tell you that you’re welcome to explore Disney Resort hotels; however, because I don’t want the clock to strike midnight on your plans, I recommend taking complimentary Disney transportation to your destination instead of driving to the resort. Sometimes the parking lots become full, so Guests without a Disney Resort hotel stay or dining reservations are turned away. This won’t be a problem if you take a Disney Bus, Disney Monorail, Water Transportation, or Disney Skyliner from the theme parks or Disney Springs to the resort of your choice.

I suggest snagging a dining reservation if you’d rather drive and park at the Resort hotel. One of my favorite places to dine at is Boma - Flavors of Africa inside Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. This delectable buffet offers vibrant flavors from over 50 African countries, along with favorite American classics, and even my young Mouseketeers, who are picky eaters, enjoy their time here!

Wishing you an enchanting visit, Cindy! I hope you have a ball!
