HI! Are you allowed to carry a camelback for your own water in the Princess Half Marathon? I am really considering doing this in 2013. Is it worth it for someone who has never really been a runner? Thanks!

    Hi Raychel!

Congratulations on making the commitment to train for a half marathon! I am running the Princess Half Marathon this year and I'm so excited!

You can definitely carry a your own hydration pack filled with water for any runDisney race, or even visiting the parks. I always run with my hydration pack because I like the convenience of having my own water without having to wait for a water stop or worse, carrying a bottle for 13.1 miles. I like my hydration pack much better than a hydration belt because I can sip while on the run and not worry about unscrewing anything or spilling water all over myself.

I definitely think the Princess Half Marathon is a PEFECT race for someone who considers themselves a "non-runner." I ran my first marathon last year at Walt Disney World and Disney races are wonderful for those new to running because the courses are flat, the atmosphere is fun and there is no better place in the world to experience such as milestone than Walt Disney World!

Check out the runDisney site for more information about runDisney races, training schedules and more. Good luck!

    Magically,
    Stacy
