Hi! Am I allowed to bring my tube of plastic straws into the parks?

Hi Makayla! Welcome to planDisney! Enjoying drinks and snacks is such a huge part of the Disneyland Resort experience. I’m delighted to help you sip and snack your way through the magic with confidence!

As you may already know, The Walt Disney Company has made a strong commitment to reducing plastic waste as part of its larger environmental stewardship efforts. According to the company’s 2030 Environmental Goals Report, Disney has successfully eliminated more than 200 million plastic straws and stirrers annually from its global operations. That’s a pretty impressive step toward a greener tomorrow!

While you won’t typically find plastic straws provided in the parks (you’ll find paper or compostable options instead), plastic straws brought in by guests are not listed among the items prohibited at the Disneyland Resort. That means you’re welcome to bring your own tube of plastic straws to enjoy your beverages throughout your visit. My wife and I always bring our reusable straws when visiting, especially when we’re sampling the latest cold brews or seasonal sips scattered around the parks.

Speaking of cold brews, if you’re looking for a caffeine fix that doubles as a treat, I highly recommend the Peanut Butter Mocha Cold Brew from the Cappuccino Cart in Disney California Adventure. The blend of chocolate, peanut butter, and espresso, all topped with a sprinkle of M&Ms, makes it the perfect “energy boost meets dessert.” On a Southern California morning, it’s an instant favorite!

Since your visit may coincide with the holiday season, I also suggest keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog. Each year, they release a Foodie Guide to Holidays at the Disneyland Resort, highlighting the most anticipated seasonal drinks and desserts. From peppermint mochas and hot cocoa flights to festive cold brews (yes, even those get a seasonal twist), there’s something for every palate once the holidays kick off on November 14th.

Makayla, I hope this information helps you plan your next flavorful adventure through the parks. If any other questions pop up while you’re planning, we at planDisney are always happy to lend a hand.

Have an incredible day filled with magical moments (and maybe a few extra sips of something sweet)!
