Hi Ashley,
So happy to "sea" you here at planDisney. It sounds like you are in planning mode for a cruise with your little guppy. I just love sailing with my crew because as you'll soon discover,
Disney Cruise Line is an incredible choice for a magical family vacation at any age!
While floats, pool noodles and rafts are on the list of
prohibited items I just checked with a Cast Member to see if there were any exceptions for infants. They advised that only Coast Guard personal flotation devices (PFD), swim vests, water wings, and bathing suits with sewn-in floatation devices are permitted in the ship's pools and on Castaway Cay.
I also want to mention that Disney Cruise Line adheres to
U.S. Public Health guidelines that only permit potty-trained children in pools aboard their ships. Although your diapered little one won't be able to take a swim on the pool deck, they can splash to their heart's content in specially designed onboard areas.
Nemo's Reef is a shaded splash and play area designed for guests under age 3 on Disney Fantasy and Disney Dream. Nephews’ Splash Zone on
Disney Magic, Dory's Reef on
Disney Wonder, and Toy Story Splash Zone on
Disney Wish also feature bubblers and spouts to entertain the youngest cruisers. Keep in mind that swim diapers are required in each of these locations.
Disney Cruise Line is truly in a class of its own when it comes to making
little ones feel right at home. Whether you need a diaper pail, a Pack-n-Play, or even a high-chair during dinner, you'll be in good hands. Be sure to submit your request for a crib or other specific baby items via the Special Request form found under
"My Reservations" when you log on to the site. If you're looking for a little adult time you can also reserve care for your tot at
“it’s a small world” nursery! in advance online, or on a first-come, first-served basis once onboard.
I hope this helps Ashley! Sail back and see us again with any additional planning questions. We'd be happy to get you ready for any upcoming adventures!
Anchors Aweigh,
Amy
