Allowed to bring "glo-sticks" about 14" long, one with a star for a wand, and one with a little handle for a "sword" into the parks? Don't want to spend money on the light-up toys there.

    Hi Karen,

After enjoying the theme parks all day, the magic and fun continue in a whole new way into the evening at the theme parks. In fact, I'd consider visiting after dark a must-do in certain areas! For example, Pandora - The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom comes to life after dark through the magic of bioluminescence. It's truly spectacular! Plus, my family loves ending our magical days with one of the incredible fireworks displays. My favorite one is Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom Park, but they all have something special about them!

When looking through the park rules, there is nothing that prohibits Guests from bringing glow toys into the theme parks. There is a rule about not bringing anything that resembles a weapon, so it is up to the discretion of the Cast Members if the glow stick sword resembles an actual weapon, but I can tell you that my family has brought glow stick bracelets, wands, and swords with us before and not had any trouble with them. You should be just fine to bring them with you.

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Karen, and please let us know if you have any other questions as you're planning your visit. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
