    Are we allowed to take back packs into the parks? Does Disney check them, and if so, what aren't we allowed to bring in?

    Jen,

    Yes, you can take a back pack into the park. What you will find with all four parks is that you will go through a baggage check prior to going through the ticket turnstile. There the Disney security team will check through your bag.

    Now there are a lot of things you can take in that many think are not OK. We get a picture in our mind of the security we go through in the airport and think it will be the same. It is not. For instance you can take in bottles of water (or other beverages).  You can also take in food, as well as most of the things that you might need to get you through the day.

    What you can't take in are basically the obvious things. Weapons, for instance. It really is a pretty standard common sense approach.
