Will they allow 3 persons (2 adults and a 3 year old child) sit in a ride meant for 2 persons (ie toy story mania, Adventures of Winnie the Pooh etc)? I'd like to sandwich him between my husband and myself to make sure he doesnt try to get out. Thank you!

The situation you describe is very common. And the answer in almost all cases is, yes, a preschool-age  child will be able to sit between two adults on a ride. A few of the rides where is possible include:

    Winnie the Pooh
    Buzz Lightyear
    Haunted Mansion
    Toy Story Mania
    Peter Pan
    Journey to Imagination
    and many others.

There are a number of other rides where more than three people can sit together. These include:

    Kilimanjaro Safari
    Jungle Cruise
    and all the show-style attractions

Enjoy your trip to Walt Disney World
