Alien Pizza Planet has a pasta dish that sounds delicious but I can't eat tomatoes and it says it has sun dried tomatoes in the pasta dish. When I order it, can I ask them to NOT put the sun dried tomatoes on it? Or are the tomatoes already mixed in?

    Hiya Kimberly!

Welcome back to planDisney and we appreciate you coming again with another question. I'm so glad that you're asking about Alien Pizza Planet, located in Tomorrowland! It's a quick service restaurant with a good variety of offerings and plenty of indoor and shaded outdoor seating, so it's a great place to hang out and relax. I love sitting in the back patio area and watching happy guests make their way to the Space Mountain queue.

I was recently on site at Disneyland Park when I saw your question come through, so I decided to approach the chef and relay your concern to him. I love how accommodating Disney is with special dietary needs, and this is what he said. The current pasta dishes with sun-dried tomatoes are the Count Down Chicken Fusilli and Count Down Shrimp Fusilli. Unfortunately, the Parmesan-Pesto Sauce that comes with these dishes already has tomatoes mixed in and cannot be separated. Your other alternatives would be to request the Lemon-Butter sauce to be used in lieu of the Parmesan-Pesto Sauce or ask for no sauce at all. Otherwise, he recommended the Centurion Chicken Caesar Salad or the Charred Broccolini & Lemon Chicken Pasta as tomato free dishes.

Now, depending on your degree of sensitivity to tomatoes, he also said that there is often cross contamination along the line in the kitchen, as tomatoes are used extensively at this restaurant. Table service restaurants are often better equipped to deal with extreme food allergies.

If you do take a meal here, that Princess Bubble Sipper is so cute and was selling like hotcakes when I was there! Also, I'm not sure how well hot chocolate goes with pizza and pasta, but I noticed that the hot chocolate dispenser was serving Joffrey's Hot Chocolate, which is some of the richest and creamiest hot chocolate I have tasted! Also, don't forget to mobile order ahead of time to save yourself from waiting in line at the restaurant!

Kimberly, I hope that this response was helpful for you in deciding on your meal choices. If there is anything else that we can do for you, please feel free to write back to me or any of my pals at planDisney! You're always welcome here!

    Have a Magical Day!

Meet the Panelist: Al, California

Ahoy there from the heart of Steinbeck Country in central California! I've been visiting the Disneyland Resort since childhood and fell in love with the sense of absolute immersion that the Imagineers have achieved. My favorite attraction is Pirates of the Caribbean because where else can you go from a California day to an evening boat ride in the bayou with "salty old pirates"? I'm a veterinarian and an all-around Disney geek and enthusiast. I'd love to help you plan your next Disneyland trip! Learn More About Al
