when on alaskan cruise, can my son (age 13 at sailing) go on an excursion with another family member (different last name) if I don't wish to go, if I give my consent?

    Ahoy, Renee!

It is wonderful to hEAR from you again with another great question. I'm glad you asked this because there will be a couple of extra steps for you to take if your son wants to venture off the ship with another family member. When you complete your online check-in, you'll want to scroll down to the bottom of the "My Online Check-In Overview" page. There you will find "Optional Forms." Click on the link for the "Parental Debarkation Authorization Form" and print it off. Once aboard you will need to stop by Guest Services to turn in the completed form.

The other step you'll need to take is to link all the reservation numbers for those traveling with you to Alaska before you select your Port Adventures. This can be done after logging in to your cruise reservation and clicking on "My Reservations." If you scroll down, you'll see "Making Plans with Others."This is where you will input all the reservation numbers of those traveling with you to Alaska. Once all reservations are linked, your son will be able to be booked on excursions with other members of your group as long as one member is over the age of 18.

I hope my answer is helpful, Renee. Please let us know if we can assist you further with your plans.

    Have a magical day!
