Will be at AKV, then Disney Cruise and then coming back to OKW. I want to add memory maker. However, I recall my last trip it was tied to my magic band. Since I will have a different magic band for each resort stay, how can I make it work?

    Hi Patrick!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You are going to love Memory Maker! I am quite spoiled by it and we purchase it now on every trip. It’s a great way to capture the magic of the entire family on vacation. Before Memory Maker I was missing from half our photos since I was always the one taking the photos!

Since you have two resort stays, you will receive two sets of Magic Bands. The good news is, that all Magic Bands associated to one person are interchangeable, and an active Memory Maker entitlement will work on any of them. You’ll be able to use your Memory Maker entitlement to capture your vacation magic both before and after your Disney Cruise Line sailing. Please do be aware however, that Memory Maker is not valid while on your cruise, as photography there is handled separately.

I recommend you purchase your Memory Maker before to you leave, as currently there is a discount if you purchase at least three days prior to your arrival. Make sure that all your party members are linked in My Disney Experience and that you have selected to view and share each other’s photos. To check this, go to Friends & Family and click the Edit button for each person in your group. Once you are viewing that connection, make sure the box for sharing photos is checked. This will allows everyone in the party to collect vacation photos on their individual Magic Bands, and they will all be part of your Memory Maker download! I have found this Frequently Asked Questions page for Memory Maker to be especially helpful.

Have a wonderful vacation, Patrick! Get out there, smile and make some magical memories!
