    AKL Kidani or Jambo House for Savanna view 2 bedroom villas? I can't make up my mind on this! Do you have a preference for animal viewing at either of these? That is my main make it or break it ha!

    I’m so glad you continue to visit us with your Disney Vacation Club planning questions. We love return Guests! 

    Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas at Kidani Village is my family’s favorite DVC resort. While we have not stayed at Jambo House, we do have a few reasons we prefer Kidani Village. For us, we enjoy the quieter atmosphere at Kidani Village. After a busy day touring the parks, I love coming home at night to the quiet drumbeats and soft lantern light of Kidani Village. The smaller, more intimate atmosphere gives me a more relaxed and home-like feel in the lobby. The other big reason we prefer Kidani Village, is that you’ll find an additional bathroom in the 1 and 2 bedroom villas. If you will be booking a 2 bedroom villa, you’ll find three full bathrooms. Since we often travel with both my children and my parents, having three bathrooms gives everyone the space they need. 

    The big benefit of Jambo House I think is that it has a quick service dining location available, while Kidani Village does not. We do usually walk over to Jambo House at least once or twice during our stays in order to dine at The Mara. We have found it to be about a 10 minute walk from lobby to lobby. Be sure to try my favorite dessert while you are there, Zebra Domes. I tell myself that the walk allows me to consume a few more of those delightful little treats!

    In terms of the animals, I recommend Kidani Village overlooking the Sunset Savanna. This is the savanna that you see most frequently in photos of the resort, and you will have wonderful views of giraffes, zebras, ostrich and more!  At Jambo I would request the Arusha Savanna for a similar variety of animals. Whichever you choose, I think you will have a truly unique and magical stay!
