Hi, Donna!
Thanks for visiting us again here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway Pavilion at Epcot is a wonderful Princess Storybook Dining experience that I'm sure your family will really enjoy! The architectural features are based upon a 14th-century castle and provide the perfect setting in which to dine with Disney royalty! Akershus offers delicious Norwegian-inspired cuisine at lunch and dinner. If you will be using a Disney Dining Plan for your meals, Akershus requires one table-service entitlement per person.
The Norwegian buffet (or "koldtbord") features cold dishes such as sliced deli meats, seafood, and a large variety of prepared salads and cheeses. The hot entrees, served a la carte, are offered on a rotating menu which may include traditional
kjottkake (Norwegian meatballs), pan-seared salmon, seared herb-dusted beef tips, oven-roasted Cornish hen, grilled pork tenderloin, Chef's catch of the day, and my personal favorite, mushroom-stuffed pasta. You may order more than one entree at no additional cost (but remember to save room for dessert!).
The children's menu includes healthy
Mickey Check selections such as grilled chicken breast and salmon as well as more standard fare.
The finale to your royal dining experience is the Royal Chef's Dessert Plate, a platter of 3 Norwegian-inspired dessert selections served family-style. The servers will bring the dessert platters directly to your table (the number of platters will depend on the number of guests seated at the table).
Wishing you a
magical vacation, Donna! Please let me know if I can answer any other questions for you as you plan your trip to
The Happiest Place on Earth!
