    Since AK closes @ 5:00, we are hoping to hit the boardwalk for a bit before dinner. How much time will it take to get there via bus? I want to make dinner reservations at CG later that night. Is it realistic to think that we can make it there by 8:00?

    Hi Rebecca,

    I routinely stay at the Boardwalk Villas for vacation. The trip to the resort from Animal Kingdom is about 20 minutes. Allowing waiting for a bus, you should be at the Boardwalk by 5:45 pm if you leave at park closing.

    You will then need to leave the Boardwalk and take a bus to the Magic Kingdom at about 7:00 pm. This allows you wait time for the bus, travel time to the Magic Kingdom and then either walk or take the monorail to the Contemporary for reservations at the California Grill. The California Grill is one of my favorite restaurants and it does have a dress code. 

    If you have a park hopper ticket, you could walk through EPCOT via the International Gateway to the main entrance of the park to ride the monorail over to the Contemporary. It will be about the same amount of time.
