2 questions, 1.arrive at the airport at 2:45pm &taking the ME to the Contemporary, do you think a dining reservation at downtown disney for 6pm is cutting it a bit fine 2. Trying to decide between RF Cafe and Planet Hollywood with 3 kids which is bes

    Hello Penelope,

On my arrival day, I like to overestimate my travel time that way I am pleasantly surprised when I have more time to enjoy at Walt Disney World. I always estimate 90-minutes from the time I depart the plane to the time I am greeted at my Walt Disney World Resort home. If you take that into consideration then you and your family will be just fine making a 6:00 p.m. advance dining reservation in Downtown Disney.

As for your restaurant selections, if you children are younger I recommend Rainforest Cafe. This tropical, and ever so colorful, jungle-like dining expedition will keep your children wanting to explore every corner to see what creature lurks on this safari. But if your children are more towards the pre-teen age then consider Planet Hollywood. Here classic and new music memorabilia, along with props and costumes seen on many popular and iconic TV shows and movies, adorn this multi-level museum of a restaurant. Both are excellent choices and a great way to start your first evening at Walt Disney World.

Thank you for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel and if I can be of any further pixie dusted assistance feel free to ask.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, Virginia

I am a Dreamer who has always believed dreams are meant to be the path to your future. Walt Disney, I believe, felt the same way, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them." Disney has always been proof that endless imagination and the passion to make them come to fruition is possible. I will never be to old for Disney, it is home to all of us Dreamers.
