Ahoy there, Moms! My grown daughters (mildly autistic) are planning their first cruise. This will be the first time they go through customs alone. Will there be someone available to answer any questions they might have? Are there group shore excursions?

    Ahoy, Rochelle!

I'm so glad you navigated your way to the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask your questions about Disney Cruise Line vacations!

I have found the porters in the Disney Cruise Line terminal to be extremely helpful upon disembarkation at the end of our DCL cruises. They will transport luggage through the customs line and out the door. The customs agents are used to first time cruisers, and they are generally helpful.

As far as Port Adventures (which is the Disney term for shore excursions), there are plenty to choose from. You might try familiarizing yourself with the Disney Cruise Line website and browse the many Port Adventures. They are easily found based on destination. You will want to click on "Things To Do" at the top of the page and then select "Port Adventures" to find all of this information.

I hope your daughters have a wonderful first cruise with Captain Mickey and his crew! Please come back and visit us with any more questions that arise.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.

Meet the Panelist: Tracy, Illinois

GAWRSH! Hiya pals! I am a Goofy-loving mom of 2, who is married to my real-life Prince Charming. My family supports my passion for all things Disney. Walt Disney World was my very first vacation, when I was just 3 months old, and I recently completed my 73rd trip to a Disney location! I have been fortune enough to parasail high above the Disney Fantasy, attend opening day of Batuu, snorkel in the lagoon at Disney's Aulani, and SO MUCH MORE! I can't wait to help you plan your Disney vacation!
