Ahoy! My family sets sail on 10 May out of Galveston to the Bahamas for an 8 night cruise. Does the ship provide any pirate attire or gear for the pirate party? Also, may the wife and I dine at Palo the same night with our pirate attire on? Thank You!

Welcome aboard, Mark! Your family is sure to have an absolutely magical sailing aboard the Magic next month! I just sailed on the Magic out of Galveston in January and had an amazing trip!

On Pirate Night, guests can dress up in pirate attire to join in all of the fun festivities. Guests will receive a Mickey's Pirates IN the Caribbean party bandana to wear. But, if you want to show your inner buccaneer, feel free to bring more of your own pirate gear from home. My family brings pirate costumes and accessories, as do many other guests on the ships. The gift shops onboard will sell some pirate costumes and accessories as well, but if you have your own, pack them!

If you choose to dine at Palo that night (which should be the 6th night, Wednesday, on your particular sailing), you will want to change into your pirate gear after you dine. Palo has a strict dress code. Men are asked to wear dress pants and a dress shirt or jacket. Women can wear a dress or pantsuit. No jeans, shorts, capri pants, flip flops or tennis shoes are allowed in Palo.

Depending on your reservation time, you should still have plenty of pirate fun to look forward to after you eat. Around 9:15, pirate games begin on Goofy's Pool stage. Around 9:45 the Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party begins, followed by Disney Cruise Line's famous fireworks at sea.

I hope those details help as you plan your Pirate Night and Palo reservations, Mark! Let me know if you have other questions before you set sail in a couple weeks!
