    Ahoy, 1st DCL to Alaska in 2015. Checking out port adventures now to start planning. Some on-glacier experiences mention boots provided, others do not. Does each on-glacier trip include ice boots? Or parkas? Some say they do, others don't mention it.Thx

    Welcome aboard, Leslie! Next summer when you set sail with Disney Cruise Line, you're in for an amazing vacation as you explore Alaska! There are so many unique Port Adventures available, I'm glad you're beginning to look at them now!

    Since I haven't been on every Port Adventure out there, I called the agents at Disney Cruise Line for some more details about which adventures include the gear you're asking about. They suggested that if you're looking to go on an adventure where the boots and parkas are definitely included, be sure to book one that specifically mentions that. Though boots may be available at some others, they may not be at them all, as many don't require boots, but simply good walking shoes. So, if you're concerned about having to pack all that extra gear, I'd suggest sticking with the adventures that most interest you that do include the boots and parkas, or trusting that warm weather clothing and coats with good walking shoes will suffice on the others. The best advice I have is to read specifically the details mentioned with each Port Adventure, as they will give guidelines for appropriate attire. 

    You'll want a good coat since you'll be heading to Alaska, so since you'll be bringing that along anyway, you should be set to stay warm on most of the Port Adventures you choose, Leslie. I hope that helps as you continue planning!
