What age do you put if your child’s birthday is during the trip? We are staying on property and have heard children don’t age if you are not staying on property but do age if they are staying at a Disney resort. What age should we put down?

    Welcome back to planDisney, Maggie!

A very happy early birthday to your little Mouseketeer! What better way to celebrate a birthday than at The Most Magical Place on Earth?! Be sure to get their complimentary "Happy Birthday" button at any gift shop or Guest Services! For a few dollars you can get this button professionally customized at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom! This will transform your child's button into a cherished keepsake!

I recommend putting your child's correct birthdate in their My Disney Experience profile! I am assuming that your child is turning 3 on this trip. If so, every 2-year-old child that celebrates their third birthday at Disney World will still be considered a Guest of Mickey for the entirety of their stay! You will not need to have a ticket for this child if they are turning 3 during your vacation.

If your child is older and perhaps aging out of the Kid's Menu, they will still be welcome to order from the Children's Menus during your visit! Whatever the case, you should breathe easy knowing that your child will be considered the age they are at the beginning of your trip. This makes things so much easier when planning!

Maggie, we look forward to hearing from you again at planDisney! We're always here to lend a hand and share our tips!

Have a great, big, beautiful tomorrow,
    Allyn
