Sandra from MD Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

What age do you need a dining reservation? If you have a 2 year old, are they included in the count?

Hiya, Sandra! I'm so glad you found the trail of pixie dust that Tinker Bell left for you and followed it here to planDisney!

Sandra, I feel like you and I would be fast friends! I love every part of the magical planning when I'm getting ready to visit Walt Disney World Resort, especially deciding where to dine. With immersive theming, adventurous menus, and magical surprises, I feel like the restaurants at The Most Magical Place on Earth could be their own attractions!

When making your dining reservations, you will want to include your two-year-old in the count. Even if your little Mouseketeer isn't planning on having their own meal or just may want to snack off of your plate, it's important for the restaurant to know how many people will be seated at the table. This is a little different from purchasing theme park tickets or making your Theme Park Reservations with the Disney Park Pass system, since kids under three do not need park admission.

The other great news is that you're able to make your advance dining reservations already! Feel free to make them at your earliest convenience. Also, did you know that you can mobile order food at most quick service dining locations using the My Disney Experience app? It's true! This is my favorite feature and I love knowing that my meals and snacks will be ready before I ever feel a rumbly in my tumbly.

I hope your trip to Walt Disney World Resort is fun, memorable, and delicious! If you have any other questions, please visit us again.

You've got a friend in me!
