Welcome aboard, Victoria! It sounds like you have a big group getting ready to set sail together this spring! My family and I have traveled many times just the four of us, but have had even more fun on our Disney Cruise Line vacations when we've traveled with extended family and friends.
You didn't mention how old your daughter is, but rest assured that she will have plenty of fun in the
Youth Clubs onboard the ship. The Oceaneer Club and Lab are only for kids ages three to 12, and that age range is strictly enforced. The Edge, which is the tween club onboard, is geared toward the 11-14 year old crowd. However, a mature 10 year-old with parental permission and a quick chat with the counselors in the clubs, may possibly be allowed to participate if he or she had siblings or friends in that same club. Same goes for Vibe, the teen club onboard. It is for ages 14-17, but a mature 13 year-old with siblings or friends in the club may, with parental permission to the counselors, possibly participate in activities there as well. The upper age limits are strictly enforced, though, so know, for example, that an 18 year-old may not attend Vibe, nor a 13 year-old attend the Oceaneer Club.
Be sure to swing by whichever club you're considering and chat with the counselors there about this possibility. It may depend on the number of children on your sailing as well. Another thing to keep in mind is that each Youth Club hosts Open House hours during the sailing when guests of any age are welcome to come enjoy the spaces. So, if your daughter can't join her buddies during regular hours, they can all have fun together during Open House times!
Plus, there are plenty of other activities and events for all guests outside the clubs going on around the ship, she certainly won't lack for quality time with her friends!
Have fun planning, Victoria! Happy sailing!
