Hi Crystal,
I'm reminded of the scene from
Finding Nemo when Crush teaches Marlin about the beauty of letting our kiddos go off on their own to explore and discover!
At the Walt Disney World Resort, all
Mouseketeers under the age of 14 have to be accompanied by a Guest who is 14 or older. If your kiddos meet that requirement, feel free to send them off into the Big Blue World to enjoy
Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park by themselves. If they're still too young, I do have a few suggestions for you. My family found a wonderful place to set up our home base in the shade. Once you enter the park and pass by Lottawatta Lodge, you'll cross the bridge over Cross Country Creek. From there, we headed off to the left and found some covered and shady lounge chairs. If you arrive early enough in the morning, you should be able to find someplace to stay cool. Of course, you can also look into renting a
Polar Patio or
Lodge Umbrella. Feel free to call (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529 for more information or to make an advanced reservation. You can also stop in at
Beach Haus the day of to see if they have anything available to rent. Don't forget that complimentary ice water is always available at all Disney food and beverage locations, too!
Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Crystal, and please come see us again if you have any other questions. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation!
Missy
